Dr. David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri) has been one of the pioneers of Ayurvedic medicine in the western world, authoring over ten books on the subject and an entire Ayurvedic study course, and helping to found a number of Ayurvedic schools.  In India, David is widely recognized as a respected Vedacharya (Vedic teacher), a Vaidya (Ayurvedic doctor and teacher), Jyotishi (Vedic astrologer), Puranic (Vedic historian), a Hindu acharya (Hindu religious teacher) and a Yogi.

Jill Stansbury

Dr. Jill Stansbury is a national and international expert in clinical herbalism, the chemistry and research on plant constituents, and the spirit energy and shamanic relationships between plants and humans. She is an articulate and gifted teacher and is the Chair of the Botanical Medicine Department of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR, and has been a professor of botanical medicine there since 1991.

Arjun Das

Dr. Marc Halpern

Founder and director of the California College of Ayurveda, Dr. Marc Halpern is one of the pioneers of Ayuvedic Medicine in the western world and has trained hundreds of Ayurvedic practitioners around the world. Dr. Halpern is a co-founder of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) as well as the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine (CAAM), and is one of the leading authorities on the development of the Ayurvedic healthcare and education system in America.


 

Melanie Sachs

Melanie Sachs is an internationally renowned teacher of Ayurveda and one of the world's most sought after experts of Ayurvedic beauty care. Her book, Ayurvedic Beauty Care, is required reading for anyone interested in either Ayurveda or a truly holistic approach to beauty.  She is the co-founder of Diamond Way Ayurveda with her husband Robert. 


 

Robert Sachs

Robert Sachs is a well known teacher and author of several excellent books, including Tibetan Ayurveda, The Wisdom of the Buddhist Masters, and his latest work, Becoming Buddha. He is the co-founder of Diamond Way Ayurveda along with his wife, Melanie.  Robert is one of the world's leading teachers of Nine Star Ki Astrology. He teaches Buddhist meditation in the lineage of today's foremost Tibetan Buddhist masters, including his personal teacher, Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche.



 

Josh Geetter

Joshua Geetter L.Ac. hails from a family lineage of medical doctors. He operates a busy general practice of Oriental Medicine which serves the mountain community of Telluride, Colorado and the visiting tourist population. This practice has allowed him to treat a wide variety of acute and chronic pathologies as well as nurturing long term patients towards optimum health. He is the also owner/operator of The Medicine Ranch and a founder of the Telluride Community Garden.



Aubrey Bamdad

Aubrey Bamdad has emerged as a prominent bridge between the fields of Ayurveda and traditional Amazonian medicine. She is an Ayurvedic practitioner, the founder and director of Qori Inti Amazonian Herbals and their primary product formulator and distiller. Aubrey lives at Yacumaman ethnobotanical center in the Upper Peruvian Amazon where she facilitates retreat programs bridging the ancient disciplines of yoga and shamanism.



Dr. John Douillard

Dr. John Douillard publishes a nationally known video health report which advances ancient wisdom through modern science, available at www.LifeSpa.com. Dr. Douillard is the former Director of Player Development for the New Jersey Nets and has written and produced 18 health and fitness books, CD's and DVD's. He is the author of The Yoga Body Diet, The 3-Season Diet; Body, Mind, and Sport; Perfect Health for Kids and The Encyclopedia of Ayurvedic Massage.



Prashanti de Jager, MS, EMT

After earning many degrees from the University of Michigan in the fields of Math, Physics, Biophysics and Emergency Medicine and studying numerous adjunct healing modalities in Ann Arbor, Prashanti moved to India in 1990 to study Advaita and the Vedic Sciences including Ayurveda, Vastu shastra, Yoga, Jyotish, etc. Living in North India he started to treat hundreds of sick locals and foreigners that came to him.



Jai Dev Singh

Jai Dev Singh is a yogi, teacher and practitioner of Ayurvedic Medicine. He has been teaching Kundalini Yoga for over ten years and possesses great knowledge and experience of the yogic and Ayurvedic sciences. He is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and formerly served as the Clinical Director at the California College of Ayurveda as well as the director of the college's Pancha Karma Center and Ayurvedic Spa.



Robin DiPasquale

Dr. Robin DiPasquale is a naturopathic physician, herbalist, and teacher who works deeply with the spirit of healing. She honors the plants as her teachers, and shares her understanding of the wisdom and gifts of healing that they offer. She teaches throughout the U.S., and brings students to her beloved Italy each year to weave herbal medicine with Italian culture.  



Paul Bartscher

Paul Bartscher came to Alchemical studies from a long and winding path of spiritual discovery, most directly from Hermetic and Qabalistic studies, applied practically through Alchemy. He was guided in this work by several important teachers of the Alchemical lineage: the French Alchemist Jean Dubuis, the Vedic healer and Alchemist Manfred Junius, and the American Qabalist and Alchemist Kevin Townley. 



Micah Nilsson

Micah Nilsson studied herbalism for many years, but was looking for something more meaningful and spiritual in herbalism. When she met Paul, they found that each had the knowledge the other needed for the next steps on their path. Micah has come to understand the intelligences and virtues of plants through direct connection with them in the lab and through meditation, and has a unique perspective as a woman working in this Art, rare in both historical and modern Alchemy.



Bevin Clare

Bevin Clare, M.S., R.H., CNS, is a clinical herbalist and nutritionist with a deep love of plants. She is the Clinical Division Chair of the Masters of Science in Herbal Medicine Program at Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, MD. Bevin has studied herbal medicine around the world and blends her knowledge of traditional uses of plants with modern science and contemporary healthcare strategies.



Jade Shutes

Jade has been practicing and studying forms of natural healing for nearly two decades, and was one of the vanguard of professionals who helped introduce aromatherapy to the US. She has been an aromatherapy educator for over 20 years, opening her first aromatherapy school in the New England area in 1990.



Mahdi Ibrahim

Born in Somaliland, Mahdi Ibrahim comes from a family with roots in nomadic life and frankincense harvesting traditions. Arriving in the US as a refugee of war, he founded Boswellness in Burlington, VT, an essential oil distillery dedicated to the production of frankincense and myrrh oils from his homeland.



Feather Jones

Feather Jones is a Registered Clinical Herbalist in Western Herbalism who integrates herbal remedies, holistic nutrition, flower essences and stress reduction guidance. Her 30 year career in teaching herbal medicine and clinical practice, coupled with a background in Native American (Mandan) tribal teachings, provides her clients and students with a synergistic approach to health and healing.



Deb Soule

Deb Soule is an herbalist, gardener, teacher and author of A Woman's Book of Herbs. Raised in a small town in western Maine, Deb began organic gardening and studying the medicinal uses of herbs at age 16 alongside the internationally known medical herbalist Mary Bove. Deb's faith in the healing qualities of plants and desire to make organic herbs accessible to women and families living in rural areas, led her to found Avena Botanicals Herbal Apothecary in 1985.



Judy Godec

Judy has based her life's work on the belief that sacred ceremony and a harmonious existence with our planet's biology and our selves brings universal health and serenity. The busy-ness of having babies and running her own company led her to employ ritual as part of a daily practice of embodying health, beauty, balance, and connection to the divine. She supports women and men alike in sustainable use of plant medicine as a tool for transformation and healing.



Niika Quistgard

Dividing her time between East and West, Niika Quistgard is American by heritage, but proud to be an adopted child of India, too. A certified Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, Niika has 13 years experience practicing, teaching and writing on Ayurveda–yoga’s sister-science of healing, happiness and vital longevity.



Rod Birney

Rod is a board certified psychiatrist specializing in depth psychotherapy, meditation instruction, mindbody medicine, and spiritual guidance. Due to childhood asthma he developed a life long interest in mindbody medicine, alternative therapies, and meditation.



Nate Summers

Nate Summers, M.Ac. is a Chinese Medicine practitioner, herbal teacher, and internal martial arts practitioner living in the Cascadia bioregion. He has served as a faculty member for the Asian Institute of Medical Studies and the Desert Institute of Healing Arts, and is a long-term instructor for the Wilderness Awareness School.



Jim Gerritsen

Jim Gerritsen is the President of OSGATA, the Organic Seed Growers and Trade Association. On behalf of sixty family farmers, seed businesses and organic agricultural organizations, OSGATA has filed a lawsuit challenging Monsanto’s patents on genetically modified crops. Mr. Gerritsen has been named by Utne Reader one of the "25 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World." He was recently featured by the New York Times for his speech given at Occupy Wall Street.



Helen Caldicott, MD

The single most articulate and passionate advocate of citizen action to remedy the nuclear and environmental crises, Dr Helen Caldicott, has devoted the last 38 years to an international campaign to educate the public about the medical hazards of the nuclear age and the necessary changes in human behavior to stop environmental destruction.
